John D. Erickson, President
Prior to forming Assurity, John served as General Manager of Dakota Fusion, Inc., a service/management company providing all financial planning, accounting, IT support, human resources and marketing services to the Brown Corporations, which include AGSCO, Inc., and Capital Harvest Finance Company.

In 1999 John co-founded Capital Harvest Finance Company, which quickly became a leading specialty ag-supply finance company operating in ND, SD, MN and MT. This progressive company served in excess of 1,000 agricultural customers, extending over $177.0 million in financing from 2000 to 2006, until sold to United Agri-Products (UAP) in 2007.

Prior to 1999, John worked within the commercial finance industry for over 15 years, serving as Sr. Vice President of Lending for the Grand Forks affiliate of Bremer Bank. There, John managed a commercial lending and credit division with total outstandings in excess of $185.0 million which averaged 24% annual growth during his tenure.

John serves as a board member of the North Dakota Development Fund (NDDF), appointed by ND Governor John Hoeven in 2004. The NDDF was created to provide flexible “gap” funding to ND businesses through loans and equity investments.
